Mexico has booked its ticket to the 2022 FIFA World Cup and a few other North American countries. They have qualified for the World cup in fifteen events and are their sixteenth in the coming one. Mexico could not make it into the quarterfinals of the 2018 World Cup.
Mexico National Team earned their qualification in late March 2021 after finishing second in the final CONCACAF qualifier. They have been part of the World Cup since 1994. Mexico is historically the most successful national team in the CONCACAF region. They were the runner-up in the 2021 CONCACAF Nations League.
Mexico is drawn into Group C, Poland, Argentina, and Saudi Arabia. They will start their World Cup Campaign on November 22 against Poland. Gerardo Martino has been the head coach of the Mexican National Team since 2019. He has led the team in fifty-six matches and won thirty-six of them. Andres Guardado will be heading into his fifth world cup.
