The Portugal National Team is one of the 2022 FIFA World Cup challenger nations. It is supervised and conducted by the Portugal Football Federation. The squad is in Group B with Switzerland, the Czech Republic, and Spain. As of 2022, Portugal is categorized in the 8th standing of the FIFA ranking after Spain with a total value of €825.50m. It is well known the nickname "The Navigators."

They made their first international appearance on 19 December 1921 in a game against Spain. Likewise, Portugal debuted in the World Cup in 1966, European Championship in 1894, Nation League in 2019, and FIFA Confederation Cup in 2017. One of their greatest accomplishments was when they clinched the 2016 UEFA European Championship crown, their first international title since 1996.

Fernando Santos manages the team, the captaincy of the GOAT Cristiano Ronaldo, who is also the most capped Portuguese player with 187 caps. Ronaldo has scored the highest number of goals for the team with 117 international goals.
