Bruno Fernandes' Professional Career


On 27th August 2012, Fernandes signed for the Italian club, Novara Calcio. After playing only a few weeks with the young team, he was promoted up to the main squad in Serie B.


Fernandes next signed to Udinese Calcio in a co-ownership deal in the summer of 2013. On 3rd November, he made his debut against Inter Milan in a 0-3 home loss.

His first goal for Udinese came on 7th December 2013,  in a 3-3 draw at S.S.C. Napoli.

He played overall 86 games for 10 goals.

U.C Sampdoria

On 16th August 2016, Fernandes joined Sampdoria, signing a loan deal with an option to be signed permanently. 12 days later, he made his league debut against Atlanta BC in a 2-1 home victory.

On 26th September 2016, he recorded his first goal side Sampdoria, in a 1-2 away loss to Cagliari Calcio.

Sporting CP

On 28th August 2017, Fernandes received the first call-up to the national side, “Portugal national team”, for 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifier against Faroe Islands and Hungary, replacing Pizzi who was injured at the time. Nonetheless, he didn’t make his appearance on any of the matches.

On 10th November 2017, Fernandes made his international team debut playing alongside Pepe and Andre Silva in a 3-0 friendly victory over Saudi Arabia, replacing Manuel Fernandes.

Till the date, he has won 13 caps and has scored a goal for his national side.
