Iran National Team 2022 FIFA World Cup Soccer

Iran has qualified for the 2022 FIFA World Cup, as did Japan, South Korea, and a few other Asian teams. They have been part of the World Cup in the last two events. Iran's national team has appeared in six world cups to date, and the last three have come in four editions. 

Iran finished third in the 2019 AFC Asian Cup and remained the highest-ranked team in Asia from late 2014 until 2018. In January 2022, Iran became the first Asian team to qualify for the 2022 FIFA World Cup. They were the fourteenth team to qualify for the tournament. The team could not make it into the round of 16 in the 2018 World Cup. 

Iran is drawn into Group B along with England, Wales, and the USA. They will start their 2022 FIFA World Cup campaign against England on November 21. 

Carlos Queiroz has been working as the head coach for the Iran National team since 2022. He is having a good time with the team and has a good win ratio. Alireza Jahanbakhsh is leading the team as their captain and has been playing since 2013.
