Jahanbakhsh grew up with his brother, Mohammadreza Jahanbakhsh. When he was two, his family moved to Qazvin where he spent his childhood. He grew up watching legend footballers like Ali Karimi, Vahid Hashemain, and Mehdi Mahdavikia.
During his youth career, Alireza Jahanbakhsh played for Payam Alborz Qazvin, Persian Qazvin, and Damash Gilan.
On July 1, 2010, Jahanbakhsh was promoted to a first-team of Damash from Damash U19. For the team, he played 12 matches.
Alireza Jahanbakhsh was sent to Damash Gilan on July 1, 2011, on a free transfer and made his debut against Mes, Iran Pro League and became one of the Damash’s Youngest ever player.
