Following his youth career, Karim Ansarifard played for Inter-Campus and Zob Ahan Ardabil. He then played for the youth team of Saipa from 2006 to 2007.

On July 1, 2007, Ansarifard was promoted to a senior team of Saipa from Saipa U19. During his 2009-10 season, he scored 13 goals and then was named as one of the best players of Saipa.

After his diligent style of plays, several European Clubs like Borussia Dortmund and Celtic F.C. showed interest in him. He also got an offer of €200,000 half-season loan deal from FC Steaua Bucuresti.

In May 2011, he became an interest of Everton. In July 2011, Ansarifard renewed his contract with Saipa for next two years.

He was then included in two matches as a substitute against Tajikistan and Yemen. He played 3 games for Iran U-17 from 2005 to 2006.

Karim Ansarifard then scored 5 goals in 7 appearances for Iran U-21. Later, he played 13 games scoring 5 goals for Iran U-23.
