With England defeating Colombia 4-3 on the historic penalty shootout, the quarter-finals matches equation has been completed. Sweden and England will face each other to get into the semifinals of the tournament. This will be the first quarterfinal match of Sweden since 1958 World Cup while England will be looking forward to reserving the place in the Semifinals for the first time since 1990.

Sweden defeated Switzerland by 1-0 in the quarterfinal while the Gareth Southgate's side had to face the first penalty shootout of the English team in the World Cup history where they defeated Colombia by 4-3.
