The Germany National Football Team represents Germany in the international football competition and is controlled by German Football Association. Germany is one of the most successful nations in the world of football having won four world cup titles (1954, 1974, 1990, 2014) tied with Italy and only behind Brazil (5). The team has been the runner-ups of in the world cups on four more occasions and has won three European Championships and one Confederations cup.

Germany is the winner of the FIFA World Cup 2014. They defeated Argentina with 1-0 score in the extra time to win the title. They won every game of the World Cup qualification 2018 and scored 43 goals.

Germany currently ranks no. 1 in the FIFA World rankings and had been on the top on many occasions. The highest capped German player is Lothar Matthäus with 150 appearances and Miroslav Klose is the highest goal scorer with 71 goals. He is also the player to score the highest number of goals in the FIFA World Cup having scored 16 goals. The team is currently managed by Joachim Löw under the captaincy of Manuel Neuer.
