Julian Draxler is a German professional footballer who plays as a left winger for French club Paris Saint-Germain and the Germany national team.

Early Life of Julian Draxler

Julian Draxler was born on 20 September 1993, in Gladbeck, Germany. His parents are Hans Jurgen Draxler and Monika Draxler. He is of German nationality. He also has a brother named Patrick Draxler. 

Draxler completed his vocational diploma in 2012 and then attended Gesamtschule Berger Feld where he practiced football. The academy has produced the players like Mesut Ozil, Manuel Neuer, Benedikt Howedes etc.

Draxler's Club Career

Draxler made his professional club debut for Schalke 04 aged 17 on 15th of January 2011. He was the 4th youngest player in Bundesliga and the youngest ever in Schalke's history at the time. He played for four seasons with the club appearing in 119 games and scoring 18 goals. He later decided a move to VfL Wolfsburg. Draxler signed for VfL Wolfsburg on a five-year deal for an undisclosed fee on On 31 August 2015.

He won over 34 caps for the club scoring 5 goals.

VfL Wolfsburg's website reported that Draxler would be joining Paris Saint-Germain on a four-year deal, pending a medical examination on 24 December 2016. Draxler made his competitive debut for PSG in a Coupe de France match against SC Bastia at the Parc des Princes. He is still playing from PSG.

International Career

Draxler made his professional dream debut for his national side scoring a goal for the Germany U-21 side in the 4–1 win over Cyprus in a 2013 UEFA European Under-21 Football Championship qualifier.

He was called up into the provisional squad for the UEFA Euro 2012 senior side for Germany On 7 May 2012. He made his debut for the senior side playing in Germany's 5–3 loss to Switzerland. He has won over 46 caps for his national side scoring 8 goals. He has been listed in Germany national squad for the World Cup along with Muller, Boateng, and Reus.

Draxler is still not married but he is in a relationship. He is in a relationship with Lina Steffel since 2013, she was also seen in the 2014 World Cup supporting him and Germany.
