Tony Ferguson wants a title shot; Says Conor McGregor’s Acting Like an “Ex-Girlfriend”

September 4, 2019 by Jack Ol

Conor McGregor earlier revealed the names of possible opponents for his awaited comeback and the list also included Tony Ferguson but "El Cucuy" clearly has another goal in mind.

Talking on ESPN’s Ariel Helwani MMA Show, Tony revealed that he won't look for any other bout before he gets his title fight.

"He’s like one of those ex-girlfriends. I stopped worrying about that. Now he’s mentioning my name? Get the (expletive) out of here."

“If push comes to shove, I see him fighting the loser of this next fight this weekend. If you want to keep up with the rankings, we have to do it the right way. Maybe I’ll give him a shot (if he beats loser of UFC 242).”

Ferguson said.

Ferguson has won 12 straight fights and hasn't lost a single bout since May 2012. He also won the interim belt and never actually lost it in a fight but was stripped off due to injury.

Do you think Tony Ferguson will fight the winner of Khabib Nurmagomedov vs. Dustin Poirier? Or will Ferguson once again miss the shot?
