The Welterweight title bout between champion Kamaru Usman and challenger Colby Covington headlined UFC 245 in Las Vegas where the two bitter rivals squared off in a dog fight.

The Nigerian Nightmare who apparently had Chaos' jaw broken midway through the bout went till the fifth round to secure his first title defense. Referee Marc Goddard stepped ahead to stop the fight after Usman dropped Colby to the ground with a powerful right hand and started throwing punches on his face.

However, the former UFC's interim Welterweight champion was not satisfied with the stoppage.

Covington took Twitter to hit out at Goddard, one of the UFC’s best referees, and wrote:

“Normally people do their fucking in the bedroom, not the octagon @marcgoddard_uk! I go in there to kill or be killed. You robbed me of that. You robbed the people of a fair fight. You should be ashamed of yourself. Fake nut shot. Fake eye poke. Fake stoppage. Fake ref. #ufc245”

Chaos left the Octagon right away after the fight without the post-fight interview with Joe Rogan. He was rushed to the hospital where doctors confirmed that there were no any fractures in his jaw.

The UFC president Dana White praised Colby after the fight and said:

"To have a broken jaw in almost the second or third round and almost finish the fight is a pretty fight. So for as big as his mouth is and all the stuff that he talks, the guy can fight. He’s talented and he’s tough. ‘He came in here with a game plan tonight. Not just fight but how he handled the fight and all those kind of things. And Usman shut it down."

Love him or hate him, Covington was tough until the fourth round and fought brilliantly well but he couldn’t be more off base with his criticism and blame of Goddard.

Huge respect for Chaos for the lionheart he showed during the fight but he lost fair and square and there is no excuse.
