Many people thought it was a shot to the liver while the other believed it to be an illegal, low blow.
Khamzat is a new but very popular name in the UFC lately. He made his UFC debut in July at Fight Island and defeated John Phillips. He again returned to action 10 days later and defeated Rhys Mckee. He had a dominant win in both fights throwing 124 punches while talking only 2.
"He'll fight here [in Las Vegas] and he'll fight in 'Fight Island. Yeah, this guy wants to...I love that mentality. We're working on a fight for him here, it's still being worked. But we're talking about him and Demian Maia on 'Fight Island'."
Chimaev was all over the news after calling out several UFC top guys. He also headlined after he revealed that he traveled to Dublin in an attempt to hunt down and "beat up" Conor McGregor.
