The show has just begun.
The mega-bout to be held between Conor McGregor and Khabib Nurmagomedov at UFC 229, though was regarded to be the greatest fight in UFC history, was not getting much hype with both the competitors being silent.
Well, it seems like the curtains have been raised.
A couple of days after Conor McGregor warned Khabib, the lightweight champion hit back the former two-division champion and expressed his desire to smash him.

In a recent UFC promo video, The undefeated Russian fighter claimed that the Notorious' only chance to win is to land a lucky punch.
“He has only one chance. A lucky punch. He has only a left-hand. That’s it.”
"My dream is to smash this guy. My dream is to make this guy chicken inside the cage."
The Irishman seems to have problems with the grapplers as he suffered a submission loss to Nate Diaz at UFC 196. However, he is a different kettle fish. He has knocked down the likes of Jose Aldo, Max Holloway, Dustin Poirier, Eddie Alvarez and Chad Mendes.
His technique in the octagon and ability to strike with the left hand is something that the Russian has not seen in the past. Conor's timing, precision, and footwork will be a real trouble for Khabib.
Conor might be the 2nd ranked pound-for-pound fighter but he is the most feared fighter in MMA world.
We might have to wait until October 6 to get all the answers. The bout will take place at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.
