Lydon Arthur is an English professional boxer who competes under the lightweight division. He held the Commonwealth light-heavyweight since 2019. Turned professional in 2016, he has a total of 18 fights, winning all of them, (12 via KO). 

Manchester, England native, Lyndon Arthur was born on 13th June 1991, under the star sign Gemini. The thirty-eight years old holds an English nationality and is of an Afro ethnic background. He stands 6 ft 2 in (188 cm). He is the cousin of Commonwealth super-featherweight champion Zelfa Barrett and former professional boxer, Pat Barrett, who is now a trainer.

Career

On 24th September 2016, Arthur made his professional debut at the Manchester Arena, Manchester against Andy Neylon. He won the fight via a four-round points decision. 

On 4 November 2017, he had a disqualification (DQ) victory over Tayar Mehmed at the Bowlers Exhibition Centre in Manchester. 

After amassing a record of 15–0 (12 KO), Arthur faced Emmanuel Anim for the vacant Commonwealth light-heavyweight title on 12 October 2019, at the First Direct Arena, Leeds. The fight was a unanimous decision in Arthur's favor.

On 11th April 2020, he was scheduled to face Anthony Yarde, but the COVID-19 pandemic rescheduled the fight to 5th December 2020. In the fight, he defeated Yarde via Split Decision to retain his Commonwealth light-heavyweight title and won the and win the vacant WBO Inter-Continental light-heavyweight title.

On 10th July 2021, he is scheduled to face Davide Faraci at Royal Albert Hall, London, England.
