A dream comeback for Khabib Nurmagomedov.

Nurmagomedov made his long-awaited comeback to the Octagon in the co-main event against Edson Barboza. He defeated the third-ranked UFC's lightweight fighter at UFC 219, held in Las Vegas.

The Dagestan native registered a victory over the Brazilain with a unanimous decision making his return to the Octagon after more than a year.

With this victory, he has re-established himself as the most deserving contender for the lightweight and interim lightweight titles.

However, he has not made up his mind to fight for the belt yet. Conor McGregor holds the lightweight title while Tony Ferguson is the Interim Lightweight Champion. But, Nurmagomedov seems to have the different thought in his mind. In an interview with UFC commentator Joe Rogan, he said:

I don’t think about these two b******t guys. I think about only me.

Nurmagomedov also went on to say that he would fight both Conor and Tony on the same day if he gets chance but would prefer Tony more if he had to choose one. He said:

Next fight? If the UFC tell me, ‘What do you want?’ I’m going to say, Tony Ferguson. Because he has ten win streak in the lightweight division. I’m undefeated all my career.

When asked about the possibility of his fight with Conor, Nurmagomedov said:

Conor, I don’t think so. Because he has a lot of money and he has to spend this money. After this money is finished, I think he’s going to come back.

Everybody would love to see undefeated Eagle fight with The Notorious. It would be a very intense match with 50-50 chances.
