Nate Diaz, the American professional mixed martial artist is probably not a new face to all. The 32-year-old Nate Diaz currently competes in the Lightweight Division in the UFC. Besides famed for his amazing performance, Nate is also known for being the brother of Strikeforce Welterweight Champion and WEC Welterweight Champion, Nick Diaz.

UFC debut and Earnings of Nate Diaz till 2010

Well, prior to the UFC bout, Nate Diaz used to play in World Extreme Cagefighting(WEC), Strikeforce, and Pancrase, where he has the record of 5 wins over 2 losses. While in World Extreme Cagefighting (WEC) in 2006, Nate fought against then-champion Hermes Franca for the title of WEC Lightweight Championship, however, lost by submission. Furthermore, his earnings prior to UFC is not disclosed.

Then after WEC merged with UFC in 2006, Nate began playing in UFC where he made his debut win against Manvel Gamburyan in The Ultimate Fighter 5 Finale on June 23, 2007. For the win, Nate got the prize money of $16,000 including the win bonus and fight pay of $8000 for each.

On September 19, 2007, Nate bout against Junior Assunção in UFC Fight Night: Thomas vs. Florian, where he got hands over $30,000($15,000 win bonus and $15,000 for the fight) for his victory. Nate made his 3 consecutive wins in all fights in 2008, where he won against fighters like Alvin RobinsonKurt Pellegrino, and Josh Neer. His total prize money of 2008 was reported to be $190,000.

But the year 2009 didn't go well for Nate, out of 3 matches, he won only one match against Melvin Guillard earning $78,000 on September 16, 2009, in UFC Fight Night: Diaz vs. Guillard while he lost against other 2 matches to Clay Guida and Joe Stevenson. Despite the loss,  Nate earned $85,000 and $45,000 respectively from the matches.

On January 11, 2010, Nate Diaz lost to Gray Maynard in UFC Fight Night: Maynard vs. Diaz, however, took home $24,000. But later, in the rest 2 matches in 2010, Nate got victories in his hands. Soon after winning over Rory Markham in UFC 111, Nate also defeated Marcus Davis in UFC 118. 

Well, the win in UFC 111 paid him $49,000 and in UFC 118, Nate earned $120,000.

In 2011, Nate's wins and loss got 50-50 record as he lost 2 matches and won 2 matches too. The first 2 losses include Nate Diaz's loss over Dong Hyun Kim and Rory MacDonald in UFC 125 and UFC 129 respectively, though he earned $33,000 in each of the matches.

Then in UFC 135 on September 24, 2011, Nate won against Takanori Gomi which earned him $141,000, followed by his victory against Donald Cerrone in UFC 141 on December 30, 2011, earning him $149,000 including  $37,000 fight pay, $37,000 win bonus and $75,000 Fight of the Night bonus.

Later in UFC on Fox: Diaz vs. Miller on May 5, 2012, Nate got victory over Jim Miller, however, he lost to 
Benson Henderson in UFC on Fox: Henderson vs. Diaz on December 8, 2012. His total earning from 2 matches of 2012 was reported to be $197,000.

Earnings of Nate Diaz in 2013 and 2014

Nate competed against Josh Thomson in UFC on Fox: Henderson vs. Melendez scheduled on April 20, 2013, but lost the fight getting himself paid only $15,000. However, in the match against Gray Maynard in the event The Ultimate Fighter: Team Rousey vs. Team Tate Finale on November 30 that year, Nate not only won the match but also $80,000.

Nate Daiz played only one match in 2014 which was his match against Rafael dos Anjos in UFC on Fox: dos Santos vs. Miocic on December 13, 2014, and Nate won the match by decision. For the win, Nate got the prize money of $16,000.

After Rafael dos Anjos filed for an injury, Nate Diaz was set as a replacement for the bout against Conor McGregor in UFC 196 on March 5, 2016. Nate won the historical Welterweight bout by submission and he was given the prize money of $620,000.  Let's take a look at Nate's victorious fight.
