Well, prior to the UFC bout, Nate Diaz used to play in World Extreme Cagefighting(WEC), Strikeforce, and Pancrase, where he has the record of 5 wins over 2 losses. While in World Extreme Cagefighting (WEC) in 2006, Nate fought against then-champion Hermes Franca for the title of WEC Lightweight Championship, however, lost by submission.
