Khabib Nurmagomedov talks about his difficult life after Retirement MMA

The former UFC lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov who recently announced his retirement from MMA talked about his life after hanging up his gloves and revealed that it was really a difficult decision. He also added that he made those people upset who were close to him.

The Eagle successfully defended the lightweight title against interim champion Justin Gaethje at UFC 254 on Fight Island submitting him in the second round and made a shocking announcement. He walked into the octagon for the first time since his father's departure in July to honor his title defense against Gaethje.

After the bout, he announced that it was a perfect time to end his career and said:

"Immediately after [the death of my father] they offered me a fight, I had to make a decision: either finish my career or return, fight and after that leave. Some people close to me weren’t happy that I ended my career, but I said to them, 'Even if I fight for another 10 years, there will come a time when I have to leave. That decision, in any case, would come, at 32 years old, at 34 or at 35."

"It was a really difficult decision for me, because I’ve been doing this all my life, for as long as I can remember, and to leave everything and reformat is a difficult task. People don’t understand that, but we’ll try - we’ll move forward. I know that not only in Dagestan there are a lot of people who support me, in Russia and around the world there are a lot of fans."

Nurmagomedov moved to 29-0 after choking out Gaethje and afterward dedicated the victory to Abdulmanap.
