Jordi Alba is a Spanish professional football player who plays as a left-back for FC Barcelona and the Spanish national team. The 29 years old is best known for his great speed and being a left back he too can operate as a winger.

He began his career at Barcelona but was released for being too small. After joining neighboring Cornella, he finished his development at Valencia. In 2012, he returned to Barcelona. Alba has an estimated net worth of $16 million.

Early Life of Jordi Alba 

Jordi Alba was born on 21 March 1989, in L'Hospitalet, Spain and his full name is Jordi Alba Ramos. His parents are Maria Jose and Miguel Alba and have a brother named David Alba. He is of Spanish nationality. He studied at Barcelona school of Spanish.

Club Career

Jordi Alba started his career in the youth ranks of FC Barcelona as a left winger but was released by the club in 2005 due to his physical appearance as he was too small and thin. He was transferred to UE Cornellà, a neighboring club and remained there for almost 2 years. Alba then joined Valencia for the fee of €6,000 and helped the reserves team to promote from the Tercera División.

Alba was loaned to Gimnàstic de Tarragona where he made his professional debut in the Segunda Division. He appeared in the 22 games and returned back to Valencia senior team the next season. He made his La Liga debut on 13 September 2009, in a 4–2 win against Real Valladolid. He played over 91 games for the club scoring 10 goals.

His outstanding performance in the 2010 FIFA World Cup eventually attracted FC Barcelona. He was officially linked with the club on 28 June 2012, signing a five-year contract. He made his official debut for the club on 19 August, playing the full 90 minutes in a 5–1 home win against Real Sociedad. 

Alba extended his contract with FC Barcelona for 5 more years on June 2, 2015, and went on to win the treble the same season. He has won 3 La Liga, 3 Copa Del Rey and a Champions League with the club till now. He was also included in the UEFA and La Liga team of the season in 2014-15.

International Career

Jordi Alba has the experience of representing his national side in both junior and senior levels. He has won Euro Cup 2012 with his national side and was also the runner-up of the FIFA Confederations Cup 2013.

Alba has won over 70 caps for his national side scoring 8 goals. He is named in Spain national squad for the World Cup along Isco and Morata.

Jordi Alba is possibly a single man now and is not married yet. He was in a relationship with his ex-girlfriend Mellisa Morales from 2009-2011. He is currently believed to be dating Rosemary Ventura. They are seen together since 2014 but previously denied having affair.  His Zodiac sign is Tauras.

Originally from Sevilla, Ventura is a student of Tourism in the university and is also involved in modeling. The pair shared several photos clicked together some time back and then was rumored to be dating each other. Ventura also has a good relationship with Alba's sister in law (David's wife).

Recently in August 2015, the couple revealed that they are expecting their first child since having affair in 2015. Alba also attended the wedding of his club-mate Lionel Messi with his current partner Ventura.
