Early Life of Alvaro Morata

Alvaro Morata was born as Álvaro Borja Morata Martín on 23 October 1992. He was born to Alfonso Morota and Susana Martin Ramos in Marid, Spain. He began his youth career with Atlético Madrid in 2005. He is a Spanish Citizen.

Club Career of Morata

Real Madrid

Alvaro Morata began his professional footballing career since 2010, joining Real Madrid. His professional debut for the club came on 12 December 2010, against Real Zaragoza. Morata scored the first hat-trick of his career, in a 7–1 victory against Deportivo de La Coruña B on 11 November 2012. He was in the club for four years appearing in 37 matches and 10 goals.


Morata made his transfer to Italy joining Juventus on 19 July 2014, signing to a five-year deal with the club. He made his debut in Serie A on 13 September, in a 2–0 home win against Udinese Calcio. On 9 November 2014, he scored twice to help to a 7–0 home win against Parma FC. His duo with Higuain in front made Juve's forward line strong. His two successive seasons with the club ended up with a total of 63 appearances and 15 goals.

Return to Real Madrid

He again made his move back to Madrid on 21 June 2016 and played his first competitive game on 9 August, against Sevilla for the UEFA Super Cup, being replaced by Benzema after 62 minutes. His first goal came in a 2–1 home success over Celta de Vigo, on 27 August. He was the initial part of the team that won the La Liga and Champions League in 2016 scoring 15 goals behind Ronaldo and Benzema. His only season with the club ended up with a total of 26 appearances.


He further made his way to England joining the premier league club Chelsea on 19 July 2017. His competitive debut for the club came on August 9, in the 2017 FA Community Shield match against Arsenal. He scored and provided an assist for David Luiz in his first appearance in the Premier League against Burnley. He still plays for the club.

International Career

Alvaro Morata has represented his national team Spain at both junior and senior levels in several tournaments. He made his senior international debut on 7 November 2014, in a friendly against Belarus. He scored his first senior international goal, the only in a victory over Ukraine on 27 March 2015. He has won 23 caps for his national side scoring 13 goals.

Alvaro Morata is a married man; he got married to his loving girlfriend Alice Campello. His wife Alice Campello is an Italian model and fashion designer. The couple first met in Italy while Morata was playing for Juventus.

The couple tied their knots on June 17, 2017, after three long years of dating. Morata's wife is pregnant and the couple is expecting their first child.
