Tatum was picked third overall in round one in the 2017 NBA draft by the Boston Celtics. He was also included in the NBA All-Rookie First Team in 2018. Tatum, who is six feet eight inches tall and 93 KG, is a proud father of one child. He introduced his baby boy, Christopher Tatum Jr. to the world via an Instagram post on 13th January 2018.

Jayson Tatum was born as Jayson Christopher Tatum on 3rd March 1998, in St. Louis, Missouri, to father, Justin Tatum, and mother, Brandy Cole. His birth sign is Pisces. By nationality, Tatum is an American and he belongs to Afro-American ethnicity. He has two younger siblings sister Kayden and brother Jaycob, both from his father’s other relationship.

Tatum enrolled at Chaminade College Preparatory School where he initially began playing basketball. During his freshman year, he recorded 13.3 points and 6.4 rebounds per game. He was also named 2013 Metro Conference Co-Player of the year as well as led the team to both MCC and Missouri Districts 2 crowns.

The following year, he averaged 26.0 points with 11.0 rebounds per game.
