Following two wins, she got herself a title opportunity. On October 8, 2016, she faced Georgia's Elene Sikmashvili. Hermans defeated her and won the inaugural Belgian and vacant BeNeLux female super-middleweight titles.

Moreover, in the next match that took place on January 21, 2017, she won against Borislava Goranova. She won the match in the eighth round via a unanimous decision to become the first WBF International female super-middleweight champion.
