Dzana Musa began his professional career as a basketball player in 2014 when he signed with the Croatian team Cedevita in December. He made his debut for the team on 15 October 2015.

Musa played four seasons with Cedevita. He was named the Eurocamp 2017 Most Improved Player and was awarded the EuroCup Rising Star Trophy in the 2017-18 season.

Musa was declared for the 2018 NBA draft where he was selected by the Brooklyn Nets with their 29th overall pick. Musa signed a rookie scale contract with the Nets on July 12, 2018.

The current Nets roster includes players like D'Angelo Russell, Caris LeVert, Jarrett Allen, Joe Harris, and Spencer Dinwiddie. Musa has had to split his time with the Nets and their NBA G League affiliate Island Nets.
