Terence Crawford defeats Jeff Horn for the Welterweight Title: Details Boxing

Jeff Horn fought will all his heart, yet felt small in front of American star Terence Crawford in their welterweight title clash in Las Vegas on Saturday, June 9. The WBO champion was defeated with a ninth-round TKO (33-0, 24 KOs) of Horn.

With the last night's win over Horn, Crawford became boxing's latest three-division champion. Last August, Crawford united all four 140-pound titles.

Crawford, 30, sounded so sure of his win, speaking after the win to the reporters,

Like I told you all before, I'm strong,

Crawford said after the fight.

You all didn't believe me, and I was way stronger than him. You all kept telling me how strong he was but you didn't give me enough credit, and I had to show you all.

Horn had to struggle a lot to match Crawford's speed and tactics, having lost all the rounds before stopping late in the ninth round, Horn himself addressed Crawford as a great boxer after the match. He said,

He's a very good boxer. I knew he was going to be on the back foot countering. I thought I could beat him coming forward, and it proved to be a bit too much.

Horn, 30, said.

Well done, Terence Crawford, a great fighter. He was strong and didn't seem like a smaller guy, that's for sure.
