Netherlands vs Senegal: Final Result and Goalscorer Soccer

The European giants took on the African National Cup Winner, Senegal, in the Group A second game. Cody Gakpo, The Dutch International, scored the goal and took the lead in the Eighty-Four minute. Senegal started the game pretty well. They had more shots on target than the Netherlands but could not score the opportunities to goal. 

In the first half, There was not much from both side. Few chances were created, but none had good timing with the ball. 

In the Fifty-Fifth minute, Sabaly had a decent shot on target, but it was deflected. Shortly, De Ligt was booked with a yellow card after tackling Sarr. 

The first substitution is made in the sixty-two minute as Vincent Jassen moved out and Memphis Depay walks inside the game. Kouyate has picked up quite a severe injury and unfortunately has to be stretchered off. 

Sarr moves past three defenders and makes a shot on target, but the goalkeeper saves. However, the upside flag is raised towards the end. 

Cody Gakpo breaks the deadlock and places the ball inside the net, beating the defenders. Several players book their yellow cards towards the end, and the game ends with the Dutch taking the three points. Klaassen doubles the lead in the last minute of stoppage time, making the final score 2-0!.
