Here are some unknown facts about the UFC star you probably not know.

  2. He prefers to be called ‘Nathan’ rather than ‘Nate’.

  3. Nate is the winner of The Ultimate Fighter 5 in 2007.

  5. Growing up as a martial arts fan, his childhood hero is not Bruce Lee. He was a massive Van Damme fan.
  6. Nate lost his first match against the fighter whom his brother had beaten three months earlier. He was defeated at Pancrase: 2005 Neo-Blood Tournament Finals in Tokyo, Japan by Koji Oishi in a decision.
  7. Diaz was penalized for wearing jeans to the weigh-in for UFC on Fox 17 in December, breaking the fighter outfitting policy. Fighters are required to put on Reebok clothing, the UFC’s official clothing partner, at public presentations.
