Milan Badelj is a professional Croatian football player who plays as a midfielder for Croatia national team and Italian professional football club, Fiorentina.

 

Apart from playing for the Italian football club, he has also played for Dinamo Zagreb, Lokomotiva and Hamburger SV.

Milan Badelj’s Career

Milan Badelj was born on 25 February 1989 in Zagreb, SFR Yugoslavia. He is of Croatian nationality and started his senior playing career with the Croatian football club, Dinamo Zagreb and went to play for several European football clubs such as Lokomotiva and Hamburger SV.

He was later transferred to the Italian professional football club, Fiorentina in the August of 2014 for an estimated transfer fee of €5 million.

After playing for several Croatian U 16, U17, U18, U19, U20 and U21 caps, he made his full senior international debut for Croatia against Malta during the 2012 UEFA Euro Qualifiers on 2 September 2011 and scored his first international goal for Croatia in the same match.

He has represented Croatia at the major FIFA Tournaments such as UEFA Euro 2012 as well as 2016 editions and 2014 FIFA World for Croatia.

Milan Badelj was added to the 23 men Croatian football squad led by the captain Luka Modric that has Croatian players like the midfielder, Marko Pjaca, defender, Dejan Lovren, striker, Mario Manduzukic as well as the defender, Tin Jedvaj for Croatia at the 2018 FIFA World Cup at Russia.

He scored his first FIFA World Cup goal at 2018 FIFA World Cup held at Russia against Iceland which helped Croatia to win the match and the group.

Milan Badelj's Net worth and Salary

His annual salary is estimated to be around €3.6 million with a weekly salary over €71,000 which he receives playing football for  Italian Serie A football club, Juventus. The Croatian midfielder has a current market value over £13.50 million as of 7 June 2018.
