He started his senior playing career with the Croatian football club, Marsonia in 2005 and was later transferred to fellow Croatian club, NK Zagreb in 2005.
The Croatian striker signed with Dinamo Zagreb for a transfer record fee of €1.3 million in the summer of 2007.
