Real Madrid seems to be struggling to sign a star player in replacement of Ronaldo. The defending UCL Champions approached many players like Neymar, Mbappe, Kane, and Hazard who could fill the void in the squad. However, none of the deals were successful.
Hazard could be the best choice and was ready to join the club, however, Real Madrid were not ready to pay the asking price of Chelsea.
The transfer rumor has since then cooled down after Real showed no interest in paying more than €150 million.
It doesn’t seem like Real need to sign any player in Ronaldo’s position as they have star players like Gareth Bale and Marco Asensio who can link up in the position. The position they need to think about in their number 9. Benzema has been a good striker but is not at the level Real Madrid are playing. They need to get a striker who can score as many goals which the Portuguese did when at Real Madrid.
Vinícius Júnior is yet to play this level of the game so he won’t be a good option.
So, the most important thing the Spanish giant need to do is mobilize their current squad and sign a pure attacker in place of Benzema. Their squad is young and have great potential.
