Scherr started his career in Strongman Corporation and earned ASC Professional by winning the NAS US Amateur National Championships on November 5, 2011. He has competed in the SCL-North Championships, finishing in 5th place, and has also competed in the Giants Live Poland event, achieving 7th place overall.
He is the winner of the 2010 Monsters of the Midland Strongman Competition and the 2011 Summer Fest Strongest Man. He signed with WWE and was later assigned to the WWE Performance Center in Orlando, Florida. There he took a ring with Braun Strowman and debuted at an NXT live event in Jacksonville, Florida on December 19, 2014, where he achieved a grand victory in a match against Chad Gable. He has also made his appearances as one of the Rosebuds of Adam Rose in his Exotic Express Gimmick.

Scherr made his main roster debut as Braun Strowman against Chris Jericho by attacking Dean Ambrose and Roman Reigns on August 24, 2015, an episode of Raw establishing himself as the newest member of the Wyatt family. He made his debut as The Black Sheep, the third and the most influential member of The Wyatt family.
Braun had his first televised against Ambrose on August 31, in an episode of Raw where he defeated Ambrose via disqualification. He has won many other matches with The Wyatt Family including his first match at the Night of Champions, where The Wyatt Family defeated Reigns, Ambrose, and Chris Jericho in a six-man tag team match. There has also been speculation on Braun possibly being added to the main event to make it a Triple Threat with Reigns and WWE Universal Champion Brock Lesnar at the 34th Wrestlemania.
