He has played for several Croatian football clubs such as Hrvatski Dragovolijac, Lokomotiva, and Dinamo Zagreb. The Croatian midfielder has represented Croatia in their youth teams and made his international debut for Croatia in 2014. He has represented Croatia at the UEFA Euro 2016 and FIFA World Cup 2014, along with that he is inducted in 23 man's squad from Croatia to play World Cup 2018 in Russia.
