Adi Rami was born to Morrocan parents on 27 December 1985 in Bastia, France. He is of French nationality having a Morrocan background.

He started his playing career with the youth team of the French club, Frejus in 1994 and later made his senior debut with the club in 2003.

Rami later went to play for famous European football powerhouses such as Lille, Valencia, and AC Milan. Currently, he is playing for French Ligue 1 professional football club, Marseille with whom he signed a four-year contract for a reported transfer fee worth  €6 million in the summer of 2017.

 

He played his debut match for the French football club against Oostende played on 27 July 2017 and later made his Ligue 1 debut for Marseille against Dijon on 6 August 2017.

The French defender made his international debut for France against Norway in a friendly on 11 August 2010.

 

He  later went to represent France at the major FIFA tournament like UEFA Euro Cup and  has been called by the French squad  led by the captain and goalkeeper, Hugo Lloris, at the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia that has French players such as striker, Kylian Mbappe, Presnel Kimpembe , defender, Raphel Varane and forward, Antoine Griezmann at the tournament.
