Ibrahimovic made his football career debut with Malmö FF in 1999. Following two seasons, he joined Ajax, where he earned a reputation as one of the most promising forwards in Europe. After that, he had a stint with Juventus. In 2006, he signed to Inter Milan, where h led the team to the Capocannoniere (Serie A top scorer) in 2008–09 and won three consecutive Serie A titles.

In the summer of 2009, Barcelona signed Ibrahimovic as the world's most expensive transfer. For 2010-11, he was loaned out to AC Milan where he later became permanent.
