Tyson Fury's Comeback To Boxing After 2 Years Of Struggle With Depression and Drugs Boxing

Love for boxing remains in the blood of Tyson Fury as he is preparing for his comeback fight this Saturday after 2 years.

The 29-year-old former World Champion Fury has not fought since November 2015 after claiming the IBF, WBA and WBO titles from Wladimir Klitschko.

But in 2016, after testing positive in a drug test, Fury lost his titles and was banned from boxing by UK Anti-Doping (UKAD).

Even more, Tyson Fury compared boxing with marriage 'do fall in and out of love' and became the victim of depression leading him to binge drinking and use of cocaine, rather than making his build up.

But now, everything is on the right track. After 924 days of absence of the ring, he is now set up to face Albania's Sefer Seferi in Manchester Arena on June 9.

After accepting a backdated 2-year ban for testing positive last December, Fury was cleared to fight again and he tells that his comeback is an inspiration for ones suffering from mental health problems.

Tyson Fury told BBC:

"I woke up every day wishing I would not wake up anymore. But I am living proof anyone can come back from the brink.

There is a lot of people out there suffering from mental health problems who think all their days will be grey, but life can improve again and you will start to enjoy the little things again."

The professional British boxer records 25 fights in his career without any losses, which includes 18 wins via KO.
