Shehu Abdullahi is a Nigerian international footballer who currently plays as a defender and midfielder for the National team of Nigeria and the Turkish football club Bursaspor. The 24-year-old footballer has played for many clubs that, include Kano Pillars, Qadsia, Uniao Da Madeira, Anorthosis Famagusta, etc.

In 2012, Abdullahi earned his first international cap with the Nigeria U-20 team. He is best known as the "King of defense.”

Abdullahi began his career with the youth team of Plateau United and played until 2012. On January 1, 2012, he joined the Kano Pillars but later left in 2014.

On July 19, 2014, Abdullahi signed a deal with Al-Qadisiya with the transfer fee reported to be €480 thousand of which Kano Pillars received $150,000 and Abdullahi got $330,000.

For the club, Abdullahi has scored 1 goal in 7 appearances until 2015. He was the member of the team that won Kuwait Super Cup in 2014-2015.

On July 1, 2015, Abdullahi was transferred to newly promoted Primeira Liga side Uniao Madeira on a two-year contract. He scored 1 goal in 28 appearances before leaving the club in 2016.

Abdullahi then signed a two-year contract with Anorthosis Famagusta in September 2016. Before ending his career in a team, he scored 3 goals in 48 appearances.

Abdullahi made his Olympic debut on August 5, 2016, under the coach Samson Siasia. Along with his Olympic team, he has played in 5 matches.

Abdullahi, along with Kenneth Omeruo, Leon Balogun, and Tyronne Ebuehi, was called up to the Nigerian squad on 14 November 2017 against Argentina.

Abdullahi is happily married to his wife, Sumayya Mustapha, beautician who owns a beauty store and fashion brands in Sokoto. The couple is blessed with an adorable son.

Abdullahi's wife graduated from the Blue Crescent School and attended the Danfodio University of Public Administration.

The couple first met through a mutual. Abdullahi got her number and they started to have a conversation. They then really had a good talk and started dating after a couple of months. The couple is now spending a blissful married life.
