Jamiu Alimi later played a couple of months for two clubs, Shooting Stars and Kano Stars. On February 11, 2016, he moved to Kano Pillars. Alimi is the agent of Dimitri Celuk.
On October 17, 2015, Alimi made his international debut under the coach Sunday Oliseh with the National team of Nigeria.
