Samantha Stosur recently revealed that she has become a mother of a baby girl named Genevieve with her partner Liz Astling. The Australian tennis player took Instagram to announce that her partner gave birth to a daughter last month on June 16.

"Life in lockdown during coronavirus has been challenging in many ways but personally it’s been one of the most exciting and happy times of my life."

Samantha wrote on Instagram.

"Mum and Evie are doing well and it's so amazing to be home with them both. We are absolutely in love with this little bundle and rolling with the happy chaos."

"We can't wait for what's to come and to watch little Evie grow up....Although not too quickly we hope."

She added.

Stosur, who is 97th in the world singles rankings, won the US Open in 2011 and has also won six grand slam doubles titles. She also has three mixed doubles and three women's doubles to her name. While the US Open is starting soon on August 31, she has yet not decided if she will take part or not.
