Mathias Jørgensen affectionately known as Zanka is a Danish footballer who currently plays as a center back for English Premier League Club, Huddersfield Town A.F.C. 

 

He started his career with the Danish football club FC Copenhagen in 2012 and so far the 28 years old has played for clubs like FC Copenhagen, PSV Eindhoven, Jong PSV,  and Huddersfield Town.

FC Copenhagen

After signing a three-year contract with FC Copenhagen, he initially started to play in the club’s reserve team before he made his debut for the main team against FC Fredericia.

He was the appointed the captain of the FC Copenhagen when Swedish born Roland Nilson took charge as a manager. He scored 6 goals in 92 appearances until 2012.

PSV Eindhoven

In February 2012, it was official that the Danish defender would be joining famous Dutch football club, PSV Eindhoven on a free transfer.

He struggled to get into playing XI  during his time with the club. He scored his first goal for Eindhoven against Portuguese Club, SL Benfica. He appeared in 14 matches and scored 2 goals before he left the club in 2014.

Jong PSV

The Danish defender had a brief run at another Dutch club, Jong PSV. After appearing in only seven matches he returned back to his former club, FC Copenhagen in 2014.

Return to FC Copenhagen
