FIFA World Cup 2022 South Korea Advanced To Knockout After Beating Portugal With 2-1: Final Score and Results

It's all over! South Korea beat Portugal 2-1 in the group stage game of FIFA World Cup 2022. Despite the loss against South Korea, Portugal has already secured the last 16. Besides, the other match between Uruguay and Ghana ended 2-0, but the Uruguayan team couldn't advance to the next Round due to South Korea's 2-1 win over Portugal being enough to put them through to the knockout stages.

Meanwhile, Portugal won the group despite the loss and progressed to the Round of 16 as well. The match between South Korea and Portugal was interesting. The game's opening goal was scored by the Portuguese side. Cristiano Ronaldo's team took the lead after just five minutes after Horta found the back of the net on his FIFA World Cup debut.

And South Korea equalised 20 minutes later after Kim Young-Gwon reached quickest to make a mistake from Ronaldo. The first half ended 1-1. Besides, the second half was somewhat quiet for the most part until Son Heung-min opposed forward, and Hwang Hee-chan scored the winner in the 91st minute to put the South Korean team to the next Round. It's their third time going to the Round of 16 of the FIFA World Cup.
