The player started his professional career in 1998 playing in the YUBA League club FMP. In the next two seasons, Milojevic averaged a double-double in both of his seasons with FMP and won the league MVP award in 1999. Dejan listed his name for the 1999 NBA draft but was undrafted.

Milojevic moved to Buducnost and won his first National Championship. He spent his next three seasons with the club and improved his game. While in Buducnost, Dejan won a couple more league MVP Awards in 2003 and 2004. In 2005, The player moved to KK Partizan, a three-time defending Champion. He helped the team win numerous other tournaments scoring 16.4 points and grabbing 10 rebounds per game, also winning a couple of Player of the Week honors.

Dejan moved to Pamesa Valencia in the Spanish league at the end of his playing career and then to Galatasaray Cafe Crown in the 2008-9 season. 

International Team Appearance

Dejan represented Yugoslavia's National team in numerous events. He was part of the 1998 22&Under European Championship gold medal-winning team. In 2001, The player was selected for EuroBasket and earned a gold medal in the final. 

Journey to the NBA

Dejan took some time off from basketball and joined Mega Vizura as their head coach in October 2012. He worked with the franchise for eight seasons and has a 173-172. In January 2021, Milojevic joined the Montenegrin club, Buducnost, and led the team to the Montenegrin Cup. In August 2021, the Golden State Warriors hired him as their assistant coach
