Bill Goldberg was born as William Scott Goldberg, on December 27, 1966, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, the United States, to Jed Goldberg and Ethel Goldberg. As per nationality, he is an American, having a white ethnicity background. His birth sign is Capricorn.

He has two brothers and one sister named Steve Goldberg, Mike Goldberg, and Barbara Goldberg respectively.

Goldberg was raised with classical violinist mom and obstetrician, gynecologist father. However, his beefy body made him set his foot in the field of wrestling. During his school year in Tulsa Edison High School, he got love to football and in the University of Georgia; he played professionally within Bulldogs Football Team where he served as a defensive tackle.

NFL Career

After impressive college football career, Goldberg was selected by the Los Angeles Rams in the 11th round, with the 302nd overall selection, in the 1990 NFL draft.  Afterward, he was transferred to different teams during his NFL career including Sacramento Surge (1992) Sacramento Gold Miners (1993) Atlanta Falcons (1992–1994). 

In 1995, he was picked by the new expansion team, the Carolina Panthers, in the 1995 NFL expansion draft, but never played a game with the club. His NFL career was cut short due to tearing of his lower abdomen off his pelvis. He had hopes of returning to the league after rehabilitation but, due to his lack of success, was not considered a major asset. 

Wrestling Career

During the rehab after his NFL injury, Goldberg started MMA training and powerlifting. Later, he was discovered by Lex Luger and Sting who urged him to try professional wrestling. Later, he officially joined his wrestling training in 1996 and his hardworking ability made him achieve the best performance on the ring.

The strongest and most popular professional wrestler Bill Goldberg had won a number of title throughout his wrestling career. He was the top star and public face of World Championship Wrestling (WCW). Bill was WCW United States champion, WCW World Heavyweight Champion, WCW World tag team Champion (with Bret's heart), and so on. 

Furthermore, he has faced The Rock, Triple H, Randy Orton, Shawn Michaels, Kane and many more, during his wrestling career. On 15th January 2018, ESPN announced that Goldberg would be inducted as the headliner of the WWE Hall of Fame class of 2018. Latter three months, WWE revealed that Paul Heyman would be inducting him into the Hall of Fame. 

After retiring from professional wrestling, he worked as a commentator for the mixed martial arts.

In the year 1998, Goldberg made his television debut with an American TV series Love Boat: The Next Wave. The next year, he made his big screen debut, portraying the character Luger in the movie The Jesse Ventura Story. Moreover, he has appeared in various TV series and movies including Universal Soldier: The return, The Longest Yard, Santa’s Slay, and so on.
