Andy Polo is an international soccer player who currently plays as a striker or forwards for Peru national football team. Currently, he is not signed to any club but previously had stints with Portland Timbers, Morelia, Universitario, Millonarios, Inter Milan, Universidad de San Martin, and Genoa.
On 9th Feburary 2022, Andy was suspended by MLS pending an investigation into allegations of domestic violence made by his ex-wife. On 10th Feburary, his contract was terminated by Portland Timbers.

Andy Polo came in the field of football as a youth member of a Peruvian football club Universitario de Deportes and later was promoted to the first squad in 2011. At the age of 16, he made his official debut on 23rd April 2011, against Alianza Atletico where he was substituted for Raul Ruidiaz.
Polo scored his first senior goal on his second match against Cienciano del Cuzco on 6th May 2011. In a short-duration, he was named in the starting eleven.
When he was 16, Polo was listed for the U20 Universitario squad to participated at 2011 U-20 Copa Libertadores and led the team to win 2011 U20 Copa Libertadores.
Andy Polo later voted man of the match after provided an assist for Raul Ruidiaz's goal in a 1-1 tie with Godoy Cruz. Polo was awarded for Jugador Revelacion (Breakthrough Player) of the 2011 Torneo Descentralizado season.
Polo moved to USM Porres on 1st March 2013, where he played 28 games scoring 4 goals in a 2013-014 season. On 31st January 2014, he was signed by Internazionale but he didn't make any appearances.
Milianaros bought 50% of his playing rights on 7th July 2014 and scored 2 goals in 11 games before being loaned six months later to Universitario, where he won the 2016 Apertura Tournament.
On January 10, 2017, Polo moved to Monarcas with an undisclosed transfer fee. He has so far played 2 games netting 2 goals. Polo signed a loan deal with Portland Timbers in January 2018 and made his debut in the opening round of the 2018 MLS fixtures where Timbers lost by 2-1 to LA Galaxy.

After representing Peru U17 and U20 squad, Polo made his full international debut in a 1-0 lost to Uruguay during the 2018 FIFA World Cup Qualifiers on 30th March 2016.
In May 2018, Andy Polo along with fellow Peru players such as striker, Andre Carrillo, and midfielder, Yoshimar Yotun was included in the squad for Peru led by captain Paolo Guerrero at the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia.
