Daniel Bryan announced the firing of Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens from the Smackdown on Tuesday via WWE's Twitter account. A week earlier, the pair attacked the SmackDown Commissioner Shane McMahon and was admitted to hospital.

Daniel Bryan was fit to come up with the live action as reported by the doctors. He had earlier announced the good news among the fans. However, that didn't last long as he was attacked by Zayn and Owens as soon as he shook hands with the 'two best friends'. The four-time World Champion was out of action following the injury February 2016.
Daniel tried had to in a two on one fight but was left motionless after he was struck by a superkick to the head followed by a Helluva Kick and finally a powerbomb. The show was ended after the 36-year old leader of the “Yes Movement” was taken on a stretcher.

Later that day, Shane McMahon took Twitter to criticize Sami Zayn and KO's attack on Daniel Bryan.
On a night that should have been one of @WWEDanielBryan's finest...Sami & KO proved they are vile, spineless cowards. Neither of them belong in @WWE and #SDLive...I just hope this didn’t set back Daniel’s in-ring return even further.

Kevin Owens soon responded with a tweet.
