Tiago Splitter is a professional NBA player turned coach. Before being drafted by the NBA, he played widely in Europe, earning 3X All-EuroLeague Team. In the NBA, he had a stint with San Antonio Spurs (2010–2015), where he became the first Brazilian-born player to win an NBA championship in 2014. Also, he played for Atlanta Hawks and Philadelphia 76ers. Currently, he serves as a player development coach for the Brooklyn Nets.

In 2019, Splitter sold his Malibu house for $4.314 million. He shelled out $3.25 million for the property in 2017. The house features four bedrooms and 3.5 bathrooms in 4,124 square feet of living space. Before, he had a house in San Antonio for $0.7 million.

Tiago Plitter has married twice. he first tied the knot with Amaia Amescua Splitter whom he met while he was playing for Spain. They exchanged the vows on 3rd July 2010. Later two years in August, the couple welcomed their first child, a son, Benjamin Splitter, followed by a daughter, Sofia Splitter (b.2016).
After six years of marriage, they decided to divorce in 2016, but, kept the reason for their separtion on the shade to date.
In 2017, Toago re-married on 7th December 2017. His 2nd/current wife's name is Fernanda Splitter. Scrolling through their socials, it seems the couple shares a baby boy named, Luke. Furthermore, Tiago has custody of his two children from his past marriage.

Splitter began his professional career in 1999, playing with Brazilian club Ipiranga. The following season, he joined Spain's top-level league, the Liga ACB, Saski Baskonia where played until 2010.
In the 2007 NBA Draft, he was picked 28th overall by the San Antonio Spurs. Again, he re-signed with Saski Baskonia, on a two-year contract.
On 12th July 2010, Splitter signed a contract with the San Antonio Spurs. On 9th July 2015, Splitter was traded to the Atlanta Hawks, in exchange for the draft rights to Georgios Printezis. On 22nd Feburary 2017, he was traded to the Philadelphia 76ers.
On 9th Feburary 2018, Splitter retired from playing professional basketball, due to a hip injury that had hindered the back-end of his career.
On 24th April 2018, Splitter was appointed by the Brooklyn Nets as a pro scout and then was promoted by the Nets to player development coach on 23rd September 2019.
