Shatori Walker-Kimbrough finished his high school career playing at Hopewell Area High School, where she averaged 28.3 ppg., 10.1 RPG. and 6.8 SPG. as a senior in 2012-13. Also, she played volleyball and helped her team win a WPIAL championship as a junior in 2012. 

Walker-Kimbrough was ranked the No. 38 players by Blue Star Report, No. 6 wings, and No. 43 overall players in the class of 2013. She committed to play basketball for the University of Maryland. As a freshman in 2013-14, scored double figures in 19 of 35 games. As a sophomore 2014-15, she started in all games.

Her college highlights include 2013-14 Two-time ACC Rookie of the Week, 2014-15 Three-time Big Ten Player of the Week Honor Roll, 2015 All-Big Ten Conference first team by media and coaches, AP All-America honorable mention, and Spokane Regional Most Outstanding Player.

In the 2017 WNBA Draft, Walker-Kimbrough was picked with the sixth overall pick by Washington Mystics. On 15th April 2020, the Washington Mystics traded her to the New York Liberty in a deal that sent Tina Charles to Washington.

Later two days, the New York Liberty traded Walker-Kimbrough to the Phoenix Mercury on draft night in exchange for the draft rights of Jocelyn Willoughby.
