Ragnar Sigurðsson’s Career

During his youth career, Ragnar Sigurðsson played for Fylkir from 2002 to 2004. On July 1, 2004, he was promoted to a senior team of Fylkir from Fylkir U19.

Later, Sigurðsson left the club in 2006 after making 38 appearances and scoring 2 goals. On January 1, 2006, he was transferred to Swedish club, IFK Goteborg and made his Allsvenskan debut on April 6, 2007, in the first match of the 2007 season.

Sigurðsson then included in Ligue 1, Serie A, Bundesliga and Premier League as well. He was the member of the team that won Allsvenskan (2007), Svenska Cupen (2008) and Svenska Supercupen (2008). Before leaving the club, he scored  11 goals in 122 appearances.

On July 1, 2011, Sigurðsson signed a four-year deal with the professional Danish football club, F.C. Copenhagen with the transfer fee of €800K. Later, he left the club in 2001 after making 70 appearances scoring 4 goals.

 

Sigurðsson moved to Krasnodar on January 23, 2014, with the transfer fee €4.25 million on a two-and-a-half-year deal with an option for another year with whom he won the bronze medal in the Russian Premier League in 2014-015.
