Pablo Aguilar got a ten-game suspension in the Copa Mx round-of-16 match against Tijuana on 18 December 2013 when he headbutted referee Fernando Hernandez. The referee’s association protested against the punishment and the ten-game suspension was changed to one year-long ban from any official football activity. He later appeals his ban to the Court of Arbitration for sport.

He won many national titles as Mexico cup in 2018 while playing for Blue Cross club and also got first division playing for Sportivo Luqueno club, Tijuana club, and America club in the year 2007, 2012 and 2014 successively.
