Nabil Dirar is a Morrocan professional football player  who plays as a winger for Turkish professional football club, Fenerbahce SK, and Morocco national team

He has played for Morocco at the youth teams and made his senior international debut for Morroco in 2008. He has also been named to the 23 man squad for the FIFA World Cup.

Nabil Dirar’s Early Career

Nabil Dirar is of Morrocan nationality. He was born on 25 February 1986 in Casablanca, Morocco. He holds both Moroccan and Belgian nationality.

His parents moved to Belgium when he was in his teens and started his junior playing career with the youth teams of  RWD Molenbeek and Saint Gilloise.

He began his senior career with Belgian football club, K Diegem Sport in 2004 and after playing a couple of seasons with the Belgian club, he played for another Belgian club, Westerlo in 2006.

Dirar was later transferred to Club Brugge in 2008 and went on to make 114 appearances scoring 11 goals until his departure in 2012.

His impressive performance caught an eye with the French Ligue 1 professional football club, AS Monaco with whom he signed in 2012 for a transfer fee of €7.5 million.

He made his debut for AS Monaco against Bastia on 13 February 2012 and scored his first goal for the French team against Stade Lavallois on 24 February 2012.

The Morrocan midfielder was the part of the As Monaco team that went on the win the French Ligue 1 in  2016/17 season.

Currently, he is playing for Turkish Super Lig club, Fenerbahce for a reported transfer fee of € 4. 5million  in the summer of 2017.

Nabil Dirar’s International Career

Having a dual citizenship of both Belgium and Morrocco, he opted to play for his birth nation of Morrocco.

After representing at the Morrocco Under 23 teams, he made his full senior international debut for Morroco against Mauritania on 11 October 2008 during the 2010 FIFA World Cup Qualifiers.

He scored his first international goal against Sao Tome and Principe during the 2017 Africa Cup of  Nations Qualifiers.

Dirar played at the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations held at Gabon and is included in the 23 man squad along with fellow Moroccan footballers such as Munir Mohamedi, Mbark Boussoufa and Manuel Da Costa for Morrco at the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia.

Nabil Dirar’s Personal Life

Currently  32 years, the Morrocan midfielder stands at a height of  6 feet 2 inches tall and weighs around  79 kg.

He follows Muslim religion. Talking about his personal life, he is a happily married man. He was married to his wife in 2011 and blessed with a daughter named, Layana born in 2012.
