Matt Bessette is an American UFC Featherweight division ring fighter affiliated with Underdog Mixed Martial Arts who has a very creative ability to finish the fight anywhere. Currently, Bessette holds the CES MMA Featherweight Championship title. 

Earlier Life of Bessette 

Born on December 28, 1984, in Hartford, Connecticut, the United States, Bessette was only 3 years old when he was diagnosed with Leukemia. His father David Bessette admitted him to the hospital where doctors told he had only 50% chances of surviving but with initial treatments his leukemia cells was reduced significantly.

Bessette graduated from the University of Hartford in 2007 with a  bachelor of science degree. While he was there Matt was introduced to mixed martial arts and started his professional career the same year. In his earlier years, he used to fight for the promotion of Reality Fighting.

On October 9, 2010, he faced Anthony Kaponis for the vacant lightweight title and defeated his rival in a 5 round battle. Matt has a black belt in BJJ and brown belt in Judo.
