Asensio's 57th-minute goal shatters Bayern Munich's dream start to the UEFA Champions League semi-final match. The first leg of the Champions League semi-final game held at Allianz Arena on April 26 in front of 70,000 spectators was no less than thrilling, with both teams giving their heart to the game.

Bayern Munich's side looked strong, having upper hand in possession and creating a number of fine chances, but those crucial misses cost the team an upper hand in their road to the UEFA glory. While Real Madrid, who were down to one goal managed to turn the tables, with Marcelo's 44th-minute goal and Marco Asensio's 57th-minute stunner.

Joshua Kimmich's 28th-minute goal was undoubtedly one dream start to the first leg of the semi-final game, but Bayern Munich's happiness only lasted until the first-half. And second-half was Real Madrid's showdown. 

With the win, Real Madrid has won their sixth consecutive game against Bayern Munich. The team takes two away goals home to the Bernabeu, where Bayern Munich will have to score at least two goals to beat Real for the final's ticket.

While Real  Madrid pulled the win against Bayern Munich at Allianz Arena, the Anfield was taken by Liverpool. Liverpool robbed the first leg of the Champions League semi-final, with the 5-2 lead over Roma. Mohamed Salah (2), Sadio Mane and Roberto Firmino (2) were on the scoreboard as the Reds wait to play the Italians for the second leg in the Stadio Olimpico on May 2.
