Manuel Lanzini is an Argentine football player who plays as an attacking midfielder for Argentina national team and English football club, West Ham United. In his successful football career, he also played for football clubs such as River Plate, Fluminense, and Al Jazira Club and has represented Argentina in its youth levels. Manuel Lanzini was born on 15 February 1993 in Ituzaingo, Argentina. Hence Lanzini is of Argentinian nationality. His father Hector Lazini has been a professional football player and has played for Sporting Cristal and Deportivo Moron.

He was fond of football since his early childhood days and played at the youth team of River Plate in 2002. The Argentine football star also holds an Italian passport.

After playing for the junior team of River Plate, he joined the main team in 2010 and made his official debut against Central Norte in 2010.

He was loaned to  Brazilian football club, Fluminense for the  2011/12 season and was part of the team that went on to win the Campeonato Carioca in 2012. Lanzini later moved to Gulf countries and signed a four contract deal with UAE's football club, Al Jaizra club in 2014.

The Argentinian midfielder was then transferred to West Ham United as the part of a loan deal from the Al Jaizra in 2015. He made his debut against Astra Giurgiu and scored his first goal against Liverpool on 15 August 2015. Lanzini signed a permanent contract with the club in 2016.

Manuel Lanzini’s  International Career

After playing for Argentina in it's under 20 teams, he made his full international debut for senior Argentina team against Brazil on 9 June 2017 by replacing Ever Banega in Australia. He scored his first international goal for Argentina against Italy in a friendly on 23 March 2018.

Lanzini along with Gonzalo Higuain and Nicolas Otamendi is included in the 23 men Argentinian squad led by Lionel Messi for the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia.

Currently 25, he stands at a height of 5 feet 6 inches and weighs around 59 kg.
